DOMAINE DE CRESSANCE

From the creation of a wine to the birth of a domain

The Domaine de Cressance was born in 2003 from a 16-hectares single block vineyard. It is located in the town of Collorgues between Uzès and Alès.

From the very beginning we decided to work in the respect of the soil, which is very important for us. We started by transforming the vineyard, with the construction of an iconic modern winery. Then we proceeded with a long term effort for the land :

  • restructuration of the vineyard :  some plots were replanted with vines more adapted to the soil
  • conversion to organic viticulture
  • management, preparation and progressive enrichment of the soil
  • restoration and respect of biodiversity

Those important tasks were guided by a precise mapping of our soils, carried out by Claude Bourguignon.

des racines aux vins

  • Chenanson
  • Syrah

We macerate this wine for more than 15 days. Its robe is light and its palate sapid and fresh. Notes of citrus and red fruit will end on a spicy flavor. Drink it today or let it surprise you in a few years.

MYRIADES ROUGE

  • Chenanson

The grape from two different plots of chenanson is mixed to create this wine. The vines in those plots are more than forty years old, with strong and deep roots. Each year they give a wine with a strong identity, sincere, vertical and marked by its terroir.

MYRIADES blanc

  • Grenache

Enlightened by the skills of Claude and Lydia Bourguignon, we’ve achieved the perfect match between soil, plant, environment and our work. Myriades blanc is the perfect expression of this balance. A beautiful white wine full of youth, that will gain depth over time. We can’t wait for tomorrow.

des racines aux vins

  • Chenanson
  • Tempranillo

A precious terroir…

…to respect and enhance.

The Cévenole climate is particularly contrasted. It is Mediterranean in the plains of the Southeast, mountainous on the summits, and continental on the highlands. It is characterized by heavy equinox rains, often brutal and violent, and a summer drought which can be important.

During summer there is a descent of fresh air at night, which gives a significant day / night thermal amplitude. These combined influences favor the aromatic intensity of our wines, and a nice level of acidity synonymous with freshness and liveliness.

Grape varieties like Chenanson or Tempranillo bring a real touch of originality to the vineyard and its wines.

The vines were planted between 1974 and 1982 for the oldest. White grape varieties are around ten years old. In 2009 we planted chenin, vermentino and roussanne.

Finale tonique.
